These layered forms deal with the relationship between the landscape and human endeavor on a large and small scale - seismic disturbances, biological change on a cellular level and the trappings of fashion are referenced simultaneously.
The impetus for the use of many sheets of gradating paper is to create an object that stops time, takes a core sample, peels back the layers. Associations can be drawn between geological transformation and the impermanence in our daily lives.
